China and India are gearing up for the 25th round of Special Representatives’ Talks on the Boundary Question, as confirmed by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun. During a regular press briefing on Tuesday, Guo highlighted that the two nations are maintaining dialogue on border issues and are committed to implementing the decisions made during their previous discussions.
Currently, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi is in New Delhi for the 16th Meeting of BRICS National Security Advisors and High Representatives on National Security. In the course of his visit, Wang had a meeting with Indian National Security Adviser Ajit Doval on Monday, underscoring the ongoing diplomatic engagement between the two countries.
Guo emphasized that the situation along the China-India border remains stable, with communication channels between the two sides operating effectively. He reiterated that both countries are actively working on the consensus reached during the 24th round of boundary talks, indicating a commitment to managing their longstanding border issues.
The forthcoming talks are anticipated to continue the efforts aimed at addressing border management and ensuring peace and stability along the frontier. These discussions are part of a broader diplomatic endeavor to resolve the territorial disputes that have historically strained relations between China and India.
