Loong Air has inaugurated a new direct flight route connecting Chengdu Tianfu International Airport with Taichung International Airport, marking a significant step as the airline’s inaugural cross-strait service. This new route is set to enhance travel links between southwestern China and central Taiwan, providing more convenient options for passengers traveling between these regions.
The flights on this route will be available twice a week, with services scheduled every Tuesday and Saturday. This consistent schedule is expected to cater to the travel needs of both business and leisure travelers, further strengthening the connectivity between these two important areas.
With the introduction of the Chengdu route, Taichung International Airport continues to expand its reach, now offering a total of 31 routes that are either operational or have been announced. These include 20 regular flight services and 11 charter routes, illustrating the airport’s growing role as a key hub in the region.
Chengdu joins the ranks of Nanjing and Qingdao as the scheduled cross-strait destinations that are currently served by Taichung Airport. This addition not only broadens the airport’s service network but also highlights the increasing number of options available for travelers seeking direct connections between Taiwan and mainland China.
